This was my first commercial project. It had to be an gastronomic setting (café, restaurant, bar...) in the already existing bar, named 'The Robot' , close to our school.

I named my concept 'Gastrogalerij' free translated as 'gastronomic gallery'. There were two things I wanted to combine: Ghent and art. Ghent, obviously because it is a building in the citycentre of Ghent and art because it is next to our art school and not far from other famous museums in Ghent. It would be the perfect stop after a day of visiting museums. The purpose of my concept was to serve typical dishes from Ghent, served in an interior in which art of Ghent artists are exposed. Besides the art it was the purpose to use furniture from Ghent designers as well (no matching chairs from Ghent were found) and even the plates, glasses... and so on.
